Hello World

Everyone’s golf journey is unique, yet strangely similar. From that first purely struck iron to the first par, birdie, or even eagle, there is an innate drive to get better, break 90, break 80, break par. This is my journey, told through statistics, of climbing the proverbial mountain and now faced with a new challenge: how to maintain that level of play while being a full-time dad.

You can read about my full golfing journey here: but as a brief introduction, my name is Christian Jensen and have been playing golf all my life, though admittedly took me 30+ years to really figure it out. I’ve played in two, USGA Mid-Amateur Championships and I won the 98th Norwich Invitational. Beyond that, I’m the dad of two young boys, Davis and Cameron, doing the best I can to be the best Dad and husband to my wife, Alli.

My goal is to illuminate what made me successful, combing through statistics of past rounds, both good and bad, to hopefully help others be the best golfer they can be. And in doing so, I hope I can inspire myself to get back to where I was when life was a bit simpler. In a sense, you, the reader, are acting as my accountability coach.

As a financial analyst by day, data gathering and post round analysis came easy to me. It might not be for you, but I truly believe, at the very least, understanding the data and how it can drive decision making is crucial to becoming a better golfer at any level.

Join me as we walk through all the data to make you (and me) a better, more consistent golfer.
